Ana Rito is a visual artist, curator, researcher, and professor whose practice conceives curating as a form of critical research and knowledge production. Her work focuses on the exhibition as a discursive and performative form, exploring the relationships between image, body, archive, and memory. She works between visual arts, cinema, performance, and theory, developing process-based and experimental curatorial models in which research takes shape through exhibitions, performative seminars, and discursive devices. She is the vice-director and coordinator of the Master's in Curatorial Studies at the Colégio das Artes of the University of Coimbra, where she articulates curating, research, and pedagogy as interconnected practices.
