With Susana Marinho

Type: Reading session

Integrated into the Convergent Program of Anozero’26, this session takes inspiration from the international «Silent Book Club» movement, a community of readers present in over 60 countries that promotes encounters between people through silent reading, sharing, and the creation of social bonds.

In one of the most emblematic spaces of the Biennial, participants receive an invitation to slow down and enjoy a moment of mindfulness, reading, and silence. For about two hours, each person can freely choose where they wish to read, to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Monastery and the proximity to the artworks and artistic interventions of Anozero’26.

Session program:

16:00 – Welcoming of participants and a brief presentation of the activity.

16:30 to 17:30 – Silent reading period.

17:30 – Moment of sharing, reflection, and integration of the experience through mindfulness practices and an informal conversation about the chosen books and readings.

- Participation is open to all audiences.

- Each participant must bring their own book or reading device, in physical or digital format.

- During the session, mobile phones must remain in silent mode to promote an environment of concentration, listening, and presence.

The activity is led by Susana Marinho, psychologist, specialist in Educational Psychology, certified mindfulness instructor for children, adolescents, and families, university professor, and founder of the «Silent Book Club» of Póvoa de Varzim.
