Type: Creative lab

The transformation of landscape as artistic practice is a training programme, both theoretical and practical, rooted in artistic references and contemporary reflections that explore the hybridisms of installation and expressions that inhabit border territories. It is proposed as a space of encounter, artistic, social and political, where landscape in transformation is both thought and felt. Here, the ways in which human intervention, driven by unsustainable logics of exploitation, alters, damages and reshapes the territories we inhabit are observed and questioned.

Pedro Gramaxo is a multidisciplinary land-based artist working across constructive art, installation and photography, analysing and deepening our relationship with space, time, memory, natural resources and altered states of perception. His work has been presented internationally in solo and group exhibitions, residencies and public spaces since 2012, including in Italy, the Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, China, Russia, Argentina, South Korea, the United States, Romania and Iceland. He holds a degree in Architecture from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa (2010) and a master’s degree in Architecture and Arts (2012).
