Adriana Molder

Adriana Molder

Born in Lisbon in 1975, Adriana Molder lives and works in Lisbon. She studied Stage Design at the Theatre and Cinema School of the National Conservatory and attended the Drawing, Advanced Visual Arts and Individual Project courses at Ar.Co, in Lisbon. She has participated in international residencies, including Budapest Galéria (Budapest), and was artist-in-residence at Künstlerhaus Bethanien (Berlin) in 2007. That same year she received the Herbert Zapp Revelation Prize for Visual Arts in Berlin, where she would live for thirteen years. Previously, she had been awarded the Celpa/Vieira da Silva Revelation Prize for Visual Arts in 2003. Molder has exhibited internationally since 2002 and has held more than thirty solo exhibitions, including The Goatfoot Lady – Paula Rego and Adriana Molder at Casa das Histórias Paula Rego (2011), Der Traumdeuter / The Dreamreader at Künstlerhaus Bethanien (2007), and Ice Chamber at the Sintra Museum of Modern Art – Berardo Collection. Her work is held in public and private collections, including the Berardo Collection, Unión Fenosa, and the Kupferstichkabinett – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
