Adam Broomberg and Rafael Gonzalez

Adam Broomberg (b. 1970, Johannesburg) is an artist and educator who lives and works in Berlin. He teaches on the BA in Photography at ISIA Urbino and supervises practice on the MA in Photography & Society at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK), The Hague. His recent project Anchor in the Landscape, a large-format photographic survey of olive trees in Occupied Palestine, was published by MACK and presented at the 60th Venice Biennale. For two decades, he formed one half of the artist duo Broomberg & Chanarin, with major solo exhibitions including Fabra i Coats Centre d’Art Contemporani, Barcelona (2021), Centre Pompidou (2018) and Hasselblad Center (2017). His work has also been shown in international exhibitions such as Documenta 14, the Yokohama Triennale, the British Art Show 8, and the Shanghai and Gwangju Biennales. His works are held in major collections including MoMA, Tate, Centre Pompidou, Stedelijk Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
