Type: Participatory performance

Tudo que é sólido se desmancha no tear is a long-duration participatory performance centred on the gestures of weaving and unravelling as symbolic practices of construction and loss. A loom installed in public space becomes a field of exchange and collective decision, where artist and audience continuously choose the next act: to build, to undo, to cut, or to take fragments of the fabric away with them. The action invites reflections on reciprocity, value and impermanence, placing making and unmaking in tension as equally creative acts. It asks whether the meaning of creation lies in the final object, in shared time, in sensory experience, or in the trace that remains after the action.

Hanna Coelho, a visual artist and researcher born in Uberaba, Brazil, moves between heritage education, special education, art therapy, audiovisual practices, collage, photography, urban art and textiles. Trained in Industrial Chemistry, she found her path in art, which she deepened in Salvador and now pursues in Portugal. She uses natural and recycled materials, creating from her own roots. She sees art as an accessible, inclusive and transformative practice, capable of connecting people and democratising creation.
