Performance Sonic Migrations
9 May
With Giulia Gallina
Type: Performance
Sonic Migrations is an immersive electroacoustic performance conceived for a single participant, in which the body becomes both instrument and territory of listening. Through touch, vibration and real-time sonic transformation, the work explores migration as a sensory and inner experience. Each encounter is unique and unrepeatable, proposing listening as a ritual of passage, presence and reconnection with the body and memory.
Giulia Gallina is a sound artist and musician based in Lisbon, working between composition, performance and site-specific practices. Her work approaches listening as a physical and relational act, creating experiences in which music is felt through presence, memory and the body. Drawing on electroacoustic processes, field recordings and somatic research, she develops immersive works conceived as rituals of attention and encounter. Her projects explore themes such as liminality and transformation, inviting audiences into intimate sonic experiences guided by touch, presence and listening.
