Type: Theatre
Reconstrução Social begins from the conceptualisation of bodies in scenic space as a method of research and dramaturgical translation of possible human and interpersonal relationships. “Before language, there were only bodies and their images” (Bonald). Bodies repel one another, attract one another, interconnect, unite, and in time and space create bonds that are shaped by our human needs and fragilities. We are social beings, and the socialisation of our bodies allows us to evolve. Theatre is born from narrative, from stories of survival and humanity. Can theatre, movement and dance be used as objects for the exploration and reflection of social practices? Can our bodies hold the answers to a life in community and symbiosis?
