Type: Performative Walk

Our House is an artistic and performative action in downtown Coimbra that activates autobiographical memory, photographic archive and urban space. Through a guided route, the artist reinscribes into the territory records of interventions carried out in 2022 and presents a new intervention in his grandmother’s house, inviting the public into a sensory, affective and shared experience of the city.

A designer and performer, Gil Mac develops his body of work at the intersection of performing arts and visual arts. He studied graphic arts at ARCA, photography at Maumaus, design at ESAD, fashion at CITEX and theatre at CITAC. He works under the name Whatever™, publishes through Pandemonium™, collaborates with Circolando and Teatro do Frio, and is a member of Coletivo LOA and Pleasure Drone. He directed NKISI, Caos™, Nix™ and Message in a Bottle. He exhibited Fogo, Pleased to Meet You, Lets do it Lets Fall in Love and Cravo Kaprow. He has presented his work in cities such as London, Berlin, Warsaw, Lima, Goa, Macau and Hong Kong.
