Finissage Anozero'26 | Concerto dos Candura
5 Jul
With Candura (André Hencleeday and Pedro Coragem)
Type: Concert
The sixth edition of the Anozero’26 Biennial is coming to an end. The closing program features a concert by the Candura project, taking place in the Monastery's refectory, the space that hosts «From Ruin», an artwork created by the musical duo in collaboration with sculptor Rui Chafes.
The Candura project stands out as one of the most unique propositions in Portuguese experimental music, through a sound language that crosses drone, noise, improvisation, and contemporary composition. In «From Ruin», the sound establishes a direct dialogue with Rui Chafes' suspended iron sculpture. The sound experience proposed by Candura extends and amplifies this twilight atmosphere, to lead the audience into a territory of physical intensity, contemplation, and retreat.
