With Raquel Lima

Type: Creative Lab

Unveiling the Gaze Through Poetry takes Art and Resistance as its starting point, inviting participants to slow down, breathe, embody and intuit a poem in an autonomous, singular and creative way. The path will be introduced through an exposition of the facilitator’s creative processes, a poetic-political position on contemporary societies, and the way in which the Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Nova calls forth movements in dialogue with the poetic act. The exercises preceding the writing are based on working through the body, immersing oneself in the work, and summoning the inner world. Poetic writing techniques will be shared, allowing participants to contemplate a cloud of concepts and emotions that may serve as points of departure. The relationship between art and resistance, potential concepts, examples and meanings, will be reflected upon through an open and horizontal conversation between participants and facilitator.
